Commerce, Community development HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE Zenas M. Lane was one of J. lane's sons who was a partner in J. Lane & Sons, Shoe business. J. Lane established his business in 1834 and in 1855 admitted his two sons, Richmond J. Lane and Zenas M. Lane. Zenas and Everett Lane were partners in a shoe business after 1879.
