Those members in attendance were: Peter Dow, Lori Fair. Gerry Martin. John Burrows, and George Dearth (Associate).

I. The meeting was called to order at 7:10 PM.

2. Minutes: The Minutes of the 26 September 2002 were approved.

3. Treasurer's report: None.
Peter will submit Home Depot bin ($191) to John 01 10/25/02.

4. Old Business:
A. 1745 House Update:
-John Rogers working hard on the east side floor structure and joists.
-Roofer John Beam not available. Peter will submit advertisement to WRPS to solicit roofers to volunteer. In the meantime, Lori suggested that we use a tarp as minimum protection for the winter months until a roofing solution can be done. More discussion at next meeting.
-Jerry will schedule Advanced Pest control to do the extermination: The cheaper (free) version of the extermination service will be done- no $$ to do the full job.

B. Web Site www.historicrock1and.com:
-Hits to the site now at 1368.
-Focus on upcoming events like the Holiday Tour, perhaps also posting pictures of the houses participating.

C. RHC Sign Hingham and Webster St) -Jerry working with Bin Wallace. Building paper demo of sign to show the contributors and the building inspector for their approvals. Will likely need to get the approval of the BOS as well.

D. Subcommittee on 1251b Capsule -Wrap up of event: discussion of the ceremony and how set the stone.
George and Peter wil1 pour concrete form on 10/26 then attach the stone to it. Stone will be flush with the ground when finished, for easy maintenance. 


~.E. 2002 RHC Holiday  House lour -Finalizing the list of homes which will participate. Right now:
Springhetti, Holland) and GAR. A waiting response from Bill Horsch and John Binney. Peter submitted solicitation to WRPS for any homeowners who might want to participate- no response.


-date is 12/14 from 1- 4 PM Major advertising effort will be needed, including flyers in windows, large posters, and signs on lawns/directional signs on the day of the tour. Also coordination with Enterprise, Mariner, 
and Patriot ledger needed.


-Jerry will contact the limo business on VFW to see if they will contribute a trolley for transportation.


-Jerry will add announcement to website when Peter finalizes the houses and has some brief historical info written on each.


-Peter to coordinate florist donations from Flowers & Things and perhaps another florist (Blossoms and Sweets- new shop on Hingham St. }.


-Peter discussed 10/9 meeting at GAR. They are very enthusiastic and will be serve as a gathering area for ticket purchases. refreshments, souvenir sales. Tim Woodward will be the coordinator for GAR and liaison with the RHC.


-Peter will send a letter to RFCU letting them know about the tour and asking permission to use their parking Jot (next to GAR).


- Ticket prices to be discussed at next meeting, once final house list is known.

S. New Business:
A. rescheduled the 11/28 meeting to 11121.
