4. Old Business:
A. Fundraising/Direct Mailing -Just about finished- only 7 more donations received since the end of December. Lori will report on the number of donors greater than $100 at the next meeting.
- Lori reported that she has access to a bulk mailing permit for any future
fundraiser (such as one targeting businesses). Our use of the School permit was a one-time-only event.

B. 1745 House Update -Lori is in contact with RHS regarding the shutters. The Tech dept. will measure and provide us with a materials list, and we will approach Home depot again to see if they can donate/discount the supplies as they have in the past. Lori will work with RHS to get the dimensions/materials list.
-Discussion about priorities for the House: types of lighting, renovation advice/scheduling, etc. Tom provided expertise on automatic lighting options: perhaps this will be an early investment to show progress and provide some security.
-Peter will call George Roberts from Abington-Preservation contractor who may be able to offer some guidance.
- The Rockland garden Club (Fran Silvia) has committed to landscape the yard and provide curb appeal
C. Web Site www.historicrockland.org Update -no update.

D .Rockland Historical Society Update -Dean and Peter will be the subcommittee on this organization, and will meet separately from the RHC. Several fofll1s need to be completed (such as EIN# and Tax Exemption).
-Still uncertainty about mechanics of the Society fofll1ation- Peter will check with MHC to see of they can offer any guidance.
-Dean has some fundraising ideas, such as dinners and hosting a Charter membership din!1er .
-Suggested dues would be $15/year for an individual, $20/year for family.

C. Rockland Book Fundraiser -Peter has ordered another shipment of 40 books from Arcadia. They should arrive within a few days: these will re-stock the Town Clerk's display rack. Many inquiries have been directed elsewhere since we have exhausted our supply.
-Public notice for the book continues to run on WRPS.

5. New Business A. Patriot Ledger Article -peter is working with Paysha Stockton at the Ledger on an article about relocating historic structures as an alternative to demolition. 240 Summer St. is a good example.

6. Correspondence

7. Open Forum - Tom mentioned that the Post Office would be a good place to sell the Bird's eye View map of Rockland, which they already have on display.
Perhaps also a window display for the Rockland book? Peter will check with the Post Office/Kevin Bird to arrange.

8. Next Meeting:

2/24/04 at 7 PM in the Town Hall Lounge.

9. Adjournment: A motion to adjourn was made and accepted. The time was 8:15.PM.
